What does it cost and what is the commitment?

Secure IT Essentials is $275 per user per month ex GST on an annual commitment. There are no tiers, no volume discounts, and no hidden fees. One-off onboarding and configuration costs apply at the start of the engagement. Optional add-ons are available and quoted separately.

What is the Essential Eight and why does it matter?

The Essential Eight is a set of cybersecurity mitigation strategies developed by the Australian Cyber Security Centre. It is the benchmark used by Australian regulators, cyber insurers, and enterprise procurement teams when assessing a business's security posture. Secure IT Essentials is aligned to Maturity Level 3 - the highest level - which means your business meets the standard most commonly required for compliance and insurance purposes.

What is a SOC and what does 24/7 monitoring mean for my business?

A Security Operations Centre monitors your environment for threats around the clock. Tech Dot's SOC is staffed by humans across Sydney and Budapest - not automated alerts, not outsourced to a third party. If a threat is detected at 2am, it is actioned by our security team. Your helpdesk operates during business hours. Your security monitoring never stops.

Is this right for a business our size?

Secure IT Essentials is designed for Sydney businesses with 10 to 50 staff. The per-user pricing means the cost scales with your team - a business of 10 pays for 10 users. Businesses with fewer than 10 users are welcome to get in touch to discuss whether the package is the right fit. For businesses with more than 50 users or multiple sites, speak to us about scoping.

We already have an IT provider. How does switching work?

We manage the transition. Once you have signed an agreement, our team works through a structured onboarding process that runs alongside any notice period with your current provider. We assess your existing environment, identify gaps, and bring you up to the full Secure IT Essentials standard. You will not be left without support at any point during the transition.
